Hello!
I'm back from my work trip to Athens, Greece and to be honest, I could not be more thankful. Athens is a seasonal route that my company does for a couple of months each year and I am glad I had the chance to do this route this year (despite it being the shortest stay D:)
Okay, lets begin..!
This is the view outside my hotel room. Our hotel is right smack in the center of Athens and it is very convenient. There's a shuttle bus to the mall every 30 minutes and its just 4euro if you take a cab. It's one of the better hotel in Athens and I would highly recommend due to it's location and.. it's night view! Will talk more about it later!
Communal dinner with the whole set at 1700 hours in a nearby restaurant.
We were there on a Saturday and everything closes at 1800 hours (typical Europe timing) but what made it worse was, the next day aka Sunday, everything will be closed and it is their big announcement day that determines if they are still part of Europe. I know right, what a timing to be in Greece! But luckily, everything was normal and good, unlike the current situation now.
We wanted to view the lighted Acropolis so we went up to the open roof top bar in our hotel. (Told you our hotel was great!!!!!) Oh and this was taken at 2100 hours.
Waiting..
And still waiting..
And wait some more...
The view of the bar..
And that sums up our first day in Athens! :D Headed back to rest before we explored more of this ancient beauty.

Rise and shine on the second day!
Breakfast buffet at 6 Euro each. Yummy!!
And we are all set to go! The whole set of non ranking crew in the tram yo! We were lucky we chanced upon this tram which will take us around the all the highlights of Athens. It would be a disaster if we were to walk and climb under the hot hot sun.
How the tram looks like!
Tickets to Acropolis which costed about 12 Euro each and 6 Euro if you are a student!
Theatre of Dionysus.
Entrance to Parthenon.
The Parthenon, Acropolis - a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena.
And yes, thats how Athens really look like. Shocking but true. And that is Lycabetus Hill. Legend has it that it was once the refuge of wolves hence the name Lycos (wolves in Greek), thus meaning the one (the hill) that is walked by wolves.
Finally down and out of Acropolis.
The weather was really too much and super unbearable. All of was were dehydrated and feeling sick when we were down. Went to Starbucks to have our drinks and buy some souvenirs!
Our lunch at a nearby kebab stall and yes, it was yummy and there's free wifi! Teehee ("x)
A final picture of us with our new hats! It was quite cheap about 10 Euro each and all of us bought like crazy, claiming that it was too hot and we needed it. Haha!
That's the end of my Athens trip. It was a short but a good one. Wished I have more time but the next time I step foot in, I hope it's with my family and friends. Greece is too gorgeous a place to be for work trip.
Till the next. Good night.
