Paris, France

Bonjour! Went to the City of Love and Sin a few days back and I swear I will never get sick of Paris. Decided to explore Paris a little instead of the usual shopping and this entry is mostly on some of the attractions that tourists love to go. Oh and a little tip, get the whole day visitor pass for 6.80 Euro instead of the individual ticket/booklet. This pass will cover area 1 and 2, which is basically the whole of Paris excluding airport thou.

Fooling around before flight with my Disney Minnie Mouse's headband.

First stop: Basilique du Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre

Interior of this white church. Gorgeous aren't it?

Make a guess.. where is this popular tourist attraction in Paris that has such luxurious decorations and lights that sparkle so brightly it hurts to stare at them for long?

Yup, the one and only Galleries Lafayette!!

The only quote suitable for this building can only be "Whoever said that money can't buy happiness, simply didn't know where to go shopping." Indeed a shopping heaven hence it is not surprising that there are a lot of Chinese tourist in this mall and therefore, most of the stocks are usually out of stock -.-

If you are looking for those sweet little macarons, Pierre Hermes can be found in Galleries Lafayette. Just beside Galleries Lafayette Homme is a new mall, Printemps and Laduree can be found there. There is this pharmacy which is located in between Galleries Lafayette Femme and Homme which sells super cheap products. Just right outside the Tax Refund counter in Galleries Lafayette Femme, there is a stairs that lead to the main street. Just go straight down and you will see the pharmacy. You are welcome :)

Mid day stroll to Notre Dame Cathedral.

Love the high ceilings and its architecture too much!

Just a street across Notre Dame Cathedral is the famous Shakespeare and Company! A quaint and small book store that comes a long long way. It was late noon when I was there and it was a little packed so do go early if you want more personal space to explore this little book store!

Walked back to the metro station where the Palais de Justice de Paris stood.

It was really a lovely day and since all the attractions are pretty near, I took a slow stroll over to Pont des Arts. Indeed a breathtaking sight and moment for me. Listening to the music played by the street musicians, walking along Pont Nuet towards Pont des Arts, and watching the sun set along Seine River was indeed magical! The City of Love crown does indeed belong to Paris, and Paris only.

And when night falls, where else can one go other than the Eiffel Light Show? Oh and this was captured at 9pm as it is still summer in Paris and they are having long day light at the moment.

Went to the dark side of Paris - Catacombes des Paris. The place where six millions people were buried and of historical stone mines.

Ended the trip at Luxembourg. This is the Fontaine de I'Observatoire and the statue represents four parts of the world.

The amazing Jardin du Luxembourg, which covers 23 hectares, is known for its lawns, tree lined promenades, flowerbeds, the model sailboat and its picturesque Medici Fountain!

That's all for this short and sweet trip to Paris. Shall end this entry with a video of the Eiffel Light Show. I actually updated about my trip to Paris before at here and here! Thank you for reading and I will see you soon! Au Revoir! xx
