Napped a little after we were back from Berlin before heading out to town.
Nyhavn - the waterfront, canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen in 17th Century.
One of the house that Hans Christian Andersen lived in while writing his novel in CPH.
Heading over to Christiania, a self proclaimed autonomous neighbourhood. "You cannot kill us / I kan ikke slå os ihjel" is their Anthem. And their flag is 3 yellow circles with a red background.
And of course, being an independent area whereby the government has no control over, the hippie kinda took over. When you walked into the main street, the air smelt a little different and no photography is allowed. It's better not to be seen with camera or phone of any sort. There are a lot of signs around to warn you that photography is not allowed so if you are caught doing it, no mercy is shown. And having such high "security", one could roughly guess what they are mainly selling and doing inside. But it's a good experience and those visiting Copenhagen should indeed take a mid day stroll in this neighbourhood.
Then we went to search for the legendary Mermaid..
Chanced upon this area whereby people just park their yachts.
The Mermaid made famous by Hans Christian Andersen.

Woke up early to travel out of CPH and into Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen and the beautiful castle, Egeskov Castle.
Egeskov Castle - Europe's best preserved Renaissance water castle.
Chambermaid's uniform.
Super gorgeous wedding gown!
The punishment and correction faculty (aka Odense Prison) to correct those who beg for money in the street -.- (yes, the Danish are really too rich man)
A picture with Mr Hans Christian Andersen.
If you are wondering why H.C Andersen keep appearing in our trip, it's because he is the author of a lot of my, and I believe your, child hood novel. He wrote novel like the Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Clothes and many more. But most importantly, Jaselle is his vivid fan since young. And since he is born in Denmark (Odense) and wrote most of his novel in Copenhagen, we just had to pay a visit to some of the places made famous by him.
It's my first time to Denmark and the living standard there is really crazy. We had KFC for the first day as it was cold and wet and we just want something quick to satisfy our hunger and the KFC costed us $50SGD. Err.. Seriously? We just had chicken for 2 eh :/ Fast food in Denmark ranges from $20-25SGD each..
Last but not least, this trip was really awesome. 7 days long Copenhagen whereby we explored and made merry ourselves. The constant conversations and laughters, the never-ending bitching and gossiping and the big mama love Jaselle showered towards me (she made me breakfast everyday okay!). It was really wonderful and I'm thankful I found such a best friend who understand and know me so well within this industry/company. Thank you for the love and company! See you again for another 6 days in school in September and hopefully FRA-NYC and NRT-LAX with you in October!!
Hej Hej! (aka goodbye in Danish)
