Hello hello! I'm back to blog about my hongkong trip with Tracce! So on the third day, we went to one of the oldest and most traditional dim sum restaurant for breakfast - Lian Xiang Lou.
Lian Xiang Lou
#160-164 Wellington Street, Sheung Wan
It was quite a culture shock. We had to search for our own seats. We had to snatch for food and no ordering is allowed. We gave up after a few plates cos it's pretty time consuming, hahaa.
Went to have our coffee fix next. This Starbucks is the world's first ever Starbucks store that fuse together a nostalgic retro style with a contemporary coffeehouse design. It was really cool and interesting. All the displays and tools used were set in the 50's to 70's.

And we proceed to our main activity of the day.. NGONG PING, which is located at Lantau Island. We took the MTR to Tung Chung and the journey is about 30 minutes? When you exit the MTR, you will see Citygate Outlet mall. The sales there were relatively good so do drop by if you are in that area! We gave it a miss as that's not our main focus. Our main focus is the Tian Tan Buddha!!
Bought our cable car tickets! We bought the 1+1, meaning one way will be the crystal cable (whereby we can see what's beneath us) and the other way will be a normal cable car. The cable car ride was about 20 minutes? We were quite excited and all for the first 10 minutes and we got bored and just bummed around looking at the rest taking pictures, hahaha!
First sight of Tian Tan Buddha!!!
Sidetracked and penned down our wishes for the year!!
And we began to climb the 268 steps up...
The climb was really not as bad as we thought. It was quite fun and the view was amazing as well.
Went back to Central and wanted to go to Victoria Peak but the waiting time is 2 hours and we gave it a miss. Walked around TST and bought some bakery back to our hotel before calling it a night!

Our last day in Hong Kong!!!
Checked out and we went for breakfast at Australian Dairy Company @ Jordan! We were there about 9am and the queue was already very long and that explains our sulking faces. But the turnover rates were quite fast and we managed to get in after 15 minutes?
Jordan - where all the good food are. Australian Dairy Company, Hui Lau Shan, Mak's Noodles!
We had their breakfast set and we ordered the egg white beancurd to share.
I had the scrambled eggs and yes, the queue was totally worth it. The scrambled egg was very nice!! Creamy and flavorful! The eggwhite beancurd was delicious as well! Sweet and good for the skin!

And it's shopping time at Mongkok again!!!! Whee ~ *throws confetti*
After a few hours of shopping, we went back to Jordan to have our Mak's noodles!!
Mak's Noodle
51 Parkes Street, Jordan
(just a few stores down Australian Dairy Co.)
Look at the wanton ohmygod. Feels like having a bowl now!! Anyway, the portion is relatively small but the quality is really good and value for money!! The noodles were very Q and there were 4 big juicy wantons in this small bowl of noodle. Definitely a must try if you are in the area okay!!
After our lunch, we went back to the hotel to pack our stuff and took a bus to the airport and that marks the end of our hong kong trip!
Oh, and we almost missed our flight home.
I dont know how it happened but apparently, when we heard that they will board the passengers in 5 minutes time, both of us went to the ladies. When we were back, we just continue to sit at the waiting area despite a long queue forming. We still talked about Koreans politics and their recent news when suddenly we felt something was amiss... like our flight was supposed to depart at 2055 and how was it possible that at 2045, we were still outside waiting for the boarding call. So anyway, we decided to check it out and to our horror, most of the passengers had already boarded and we were one of the last few -.-
and so this is how we mark the end of our trip with a BANG!
All in all, I'm really thankful for Tracce's company and how she is so good at navigating that we managed to find all the places that we wanted to go! Cannot wait for our next flight together - AMSTERDAM! It's gonna be fun!!
Till then~
